Wills
A will is a legal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his or her estate and provides for the distribution of his or her property at death.
If a person passes away without making a will, his or her property will be distributed in accordance with rules set out in the Succession Act, 1965. Such a distribution may well be contrary to the deceased's wishes and may incur costly tax payments, which could be avoided with proper estate planning.
